In order to combat the rising cases on novel coronavirus in the countries of Malaysia and Philippines, the govt. of both the countries has called for a nation-wide lock for an indefinite period.

The Malaysian govt. extended its movement control orders (MCO) to manage the infection rates and implemented several restrictions to curb the spread of the virus.

Resorts World Genting, Malaysia’s only resort has been closed since May 24 with no signs of re-opening, yet.

Several restrictions have been placed on indoor capacity of guests in Philippines as well. Along with limited number of guests welcomed at various venues, the govt. has also placed travel ban on various counties including India.

The lockdown in Philippines is expected to remain in place at-least until July 15 so that the infection rates could be brought down.
