Private Hospitals COVID-19 rates decided by FICCI

New Delhi: India registered 21,821 fresh cases of coronavirus which pushed the total tally to 1,02,66,674 in the nation. The active cases now stand at 2,57,656. With 26,139 new recoveries, as far as 98,60,280 patients recovered, and with 299 new deaths in the last 24 hours, the death toll has risen to 1,48,738.

As per the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 17,20,49,274 samples were tested up to December 30. Of these, 11,27,244 samples were tested yesterday.

Amid the scare of a new strain of Coronavirus, ahead of New Year celebrations, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) on Thursday imposed a night curfew in the national capital to curb the spread of the COVID-19.

DDMA said in its order that the curfew will be set up on December 31 and January 1 between 11 pm to 6 am, adding that not more than five individuals will be permitted to amass at a public spot and no new year festivities, events, or social occasions will be allowed post 11 pm.

Meanwhile, the Kerala Government also issued an order prohibiting all public gatherings as part of New Year celebrations. All celebrations on New Year’s Eve (December 31) should cease by 10.
