Tata Power has entered a strategic partnership with Apollo Tyres to deploy electric vehicle charging stations at Apollo’s commercial and passenger vehicle zones present all over the country.

Tata Power holds a grip in the EV charging ecosystem, having deployed all sorts of chargers, including DC 001, AC, Type 2, Fast DC chargers up to 50kwh, and 240kwh chargers for buses.

“We are glad to partner with Apollo Tyres for the deployment of EV charging stations across their commercial & passenger vehicle zones. This partnership reflects our commitment to developing and expanding the electric vehicle ecosystem in the country,” Praveer Sinha, CEO and MD of Tata Power, stated.

Based on location, this classification of chargers will help in EV charging for two-wheelers and four-wheelers, respectively.
As per the deal, Tata Power will begin with setting up Charging Stations at 150 branded retail outlets – Commercial Vehicle and Passenger Vehicle Zones – of Apollo Tyres.

Gradually these charging stations would also be available for the general public throughout the year.

With Tata Powers’ huge service network, we are assured of the availability of uninterrupted charging infrastructure across locations.”
Tata Power has an extensive EV charging infrastructure with more than 1000 EV charging points spreading across 200 different cities under the brand name– EZ Charge brand.

The ecosystem of  the company’s EZ Charges includes public chargers, captive chargers, bus/fleet chargers, and residential chargers.

Tata Power has also created a powerful software platform for EV charging clients and produced a mobile-based application (Tata Power EZ Charge) to provide a simple and straightforward charging experience to its customers. The app is unique in that it assists in finding EV charging stations, charging EVs, and making online bill payments.
