Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday through his tweets on the recent Amarnath terrorist attack. He accused Modi of the security lapses in Anantnag.

Responding to the tweets of Rahul Gandhi, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad asked Rahul to rise to the occasion and leave the party politics at least on such matters. He said that at such critical time when the country is rising to revolt regarding the terrorist attacks on the pilgrims headed to Amarnath.

He further added saying to Rahul Gandhi that he will have several more occasions for party politics and that he belongs to a party with long traditions and should respect that. “I will wish him to look into the pages of the history of his own party and how there has been unanimity on these occasions,” Ravi Shankar said.

He ensured that Modi government is firm on its principles of eradication terrorism entirely and the terrorists will surely be punished for the crime. He added that today is the time when the country needs to unite and speak as one and not that political parties blaming other parties for the attacks.
