J&KBJP State President said,“We wish that the Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir should be conducted along with the Parliament elections.”

As the Jammu & Kashmir Governor, Satya Pal Malik stated, dissolved the state legislative assembly, BJP has called for an important meeting with all its MLAs today to decide the future course of action. BJP State President Ravinder Raina said,“We wish that the Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir should be conducted along with the Parliament elections.”

Yesterday, BJP had said the best option in Jammu and Kashmir is to have fresh assembly polls at the earliest and hammered the proposed alliance of opposition parties by calling it a “combination of terror-friendly parties” and “a conspiracy against the people of Jammu and Ladakh region”.

It also said that the border state cannot afford horse-trading and instability keeping its security scenario in minds.

Governor Malik had dissolved the assembly on Wednesday night after three mainstream parties came together to stake claim to form a government.

Meanwhile, former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti expressed her gratitude to NC leader Omar Abdullah and veteran Congress leader Ambika Soni for their efforts to stitch up a coalition government.
