In the polls for the Himachal Pradesh Assembly, Congress gained a majority. BJP only secured 25 seats, while Congress won 40. Three seats were won by independents. In the Seraj Constituency, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur won against his closest competitor from the Congress, Chet Ram.

With a resounding victory in the assembly, the BJP has maintained its hold on power in Gujarat for a record seventh time. In 182 member assemblies, the BJP has 155 seats and is in the lead with 1, while Congress has 17 seats. Five seats went to the Aam Aadmi Party, while three seats went to independent candidates.
The victory of the BJP in the Gujarat Assembly Elections, said JP Nadda, the party’s national president, demonstrates the public’s confidence in its policies. Following the BJP’s victory in the state assembly elections, Nadda thanked Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, the party’s state chairman C.R. Patil, and other party members in a tweet.
Nadda tweeted, “Gujarat has set new records of development in the last two decades under the leadership of Modi ji and today the people of Gujarat have blessed the BJP and created a new record of victory. Every section has wholeheartedly blessed the BJP. This is the victory of people’s unwavering faith in BJP’s policies.”
