After CBI registered FIR against RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family, JDU wants RJD to explain or clarify the allegation of corruptions levelled against its leader Tejaswi Pratap Yadav. In a meeting held in Patna, Bihar chief minister and JD (U) national president Nitish Kumar has given time to his ally Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) to reconsider its stand on the resignation of deputy chief minister Tejaswi Prasad Yadav.

There is no specific time given to JDU’s ally RJD for explaining its position in this matter. Though Nitish Kumar is in favour of continuing the great alliance of JD(U)-RJD-Congress, still he reminded his party of his zero tolerance to corruption policy and wants a solution to this problem through negotiations with his alliance partner RJD.

According to sources, Nitish Kumar is able to handle an ally like RJD chief Lalu Prasad easily in the present political situation and he is indirectly building pressure on RJD to reconsider its stand on Tejaswi’ resignation. Kumar did not take the name of either RJD or Tejaswi in his speech and said that he is always in favour of the alliance.
