PMO (Prime Minister’s Office) through a tweeted message informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation today at 8 pm.

The address becomes of imperative importance considering the fragile situation in Jammu and Kashmir. The State is facing a tough political environment after the decision to revoke Article 370 was taken up in Parliament.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to speak about the repealing of Article 370. He is expected to inform the general public about the insights of the decision taken and inform them about the responsible assurances by his government to ensure peace in Kashmir.
The Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Bill, 2019 has created a string of tension in the erstwhile state. Political leaders of opposing parties are said to be put under the house arrest.
