Home Minister Rajnath Singh‘s biography ‘Rajneeti’ is all set to hit the stacks on May. Writer Gautam Chintamani in his book, published by Penguin Random House, spans fifty years of Singh’s life.

‘Rajneeti,’ the book written by Gautam Chintamani spanning five decades of home minister Rajnath Singh’s life, will be out for sale on May. On questions addressing why he chose to make a book on the home minister himself, Gautam Chintamani states how he always wanted to pen a book on someone who always stood firm on his decision and never ‘shied away from doing the right thing’. The book is also available for pre-order with online retail websites.

This is the first political biography written by Gautam Chintamani. He says,”Like most of India’s present political dispensation, Rajnath Singh too, emerged post emergency the twenty-one-month period between June 1995 and March 1977, often described as the darkest phase in independent India’s history. Yet Singh stands apart from many of his contemporaries as he continues to remain committed to the ideals of social justice, political equality and civil liberty” (as quoted by Penguin Random House).

Gautam Chintamani has also received awards for his documentaries including SRI: challenging traditions, transforming lives. A two-term president of the BJP, Singh began his political career by being a part of the Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh.
