Tejashwi Yadav meets Akhilesh Yadav and Mayawati, hints RJD may not dump Congress in Bihar

RJD Leader Tejashwi Yadav on Monday hinted that his party may not dump the Indian National Congress in Bihar for the upcoming Lok Sabha 2019 Polls unlike what BSP and SP did in Uttar Pradesh. Addressing a joint presser with Samajwadi Party Leader Akhilesh Yadav, Tejashwi Yadav expressed confidence that BSP-SP alliance will wipe out the ruling Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) from Uttar Pradesh and will unseat the Narendra Modi government from the Centre.

He said, ‘Congress has been with us from early’ while replies to queries about Congress in Bihar in the backdrop of recently announced Alliance without Congress in Uttar Pradesh for Lok Sabha 2019 Polls.

While referring to Phulpur and Gorakhpur Bypolls of 2018, Tejashwi Yadav said, “The by-elections has already proved the success of the alliance. Even without the Congress, SP and BSP alone displayed their power. The motive is to defeat the BJP. Whether the Congress will be there or not, BJP will be defeated”.

“The SP-BSP alliance is Historic and it will show the way not just in UP and Bihar but will also decide who will come to power in Delhi,” said Tejashwi Yadav who met BSP Supremo Mayawati and Akhilesh Yadav on Monday.

Speaking in the Joint Presser, Akhilesh Yadav too flayed the Modi Government for making hollow promises.

Earlier on Sunday, RJD Leader met Mayawati and said, “hum bhi inke saath hain” [We are with them]. On an alliance with the RJD in Bihar, she said, “Everything will be revealed at the appropriate time.”

Tejashwi said, “Everyone in the country was looking at UP. Because whoever will reach Delhi to rule will have to pass through Bihar and UP. And the step Mayawatiji and Akhileshji have taken, there is happiness among the people of the country. The majority population welcomes this decision.”
