Chennai Super Kings (CSK) continues their winning streak as they win against Gujarat Titans (GT).

Both teams were playing their second match of the Tata IPL.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) beat Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in their first match of IPL 2024.

Whereas the Gujarat Titans faced the Mumbai Indians and claimed a thriller victory against them.

Both of them will be looking forward to continuing their winning streak.

They both faced each other on March 26th.

Match Details

The 7th match of the Tata IPL was between CSK and GT.

The match was at Chepauk Stadium, which is also the home ground of CSK.

GT won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Innings

Ruturaj Gaikwad and Rachin Ravindra opened the innings for CSK.

They both started great and were playing great shots across the ground.

Rachin was showing his power hitting, as in only 20 balls, he smashed 46 runs when Rashid took his wicket.

By the end of the powerplay, CSK had a total of 69/1.

After the wicket of Rachin, Ajinkya came into bat he wasn’t able to play a big innings and lost his wicket.

Shivam Dube came in as Ajinkya got out, and he was showing great momentum and class.

He soon completed his half-century, as by the short knocks of the top-order CSK made a total of 206/6.

Matheesha Pathirana was called in as the impact player as Shivam Dube was sent out.

Gujarat Titans (GT) Innings

GT called in Sai Sudharsan as the impact player and sent out Mohit Sharma.

Wriddhiman Shah and Shubman Gill opened the innings for GT.

Deepak Chahar didn’t let them settle as he took the wicket of Shubman in the third over.

Soon after Shubman got out wickets started to fall in short intervals of time.

None of the batsmen were able to stand long in front of the bowling lineup of CSK.

Sai Sudharsan was the only one who played a short knock of 37 runs.

In the end, GT lost the match as they were only able to make a total of 143/8 runs.

Deepak Chahar, Mustafizur Rahman, and Tushar Deshpande took two wickets each.
