The 19th match of the IPL was played between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Rajasthan Royals (RR).
This battle is often known as the Battle of the Royals in the IPL.
RR won the toss and elected to bat first.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Innings
Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis opened the innings for the RCB side.
They both started great and were building an important partnership.
They were going on with a good run rate and hitting boundaries in between.
Going on, both of them also completed their half-centuries and were looking good together.
For the first time in IPL 2024, the RCB opening pair made a partnership of more than 100 runs.
They were doing well, and Yuzvendra Chahal broke their partnership.
He took the wicket of Faf, as in the next over, Glenn also lost his wicket.
None of the upcoming batsmen were able to score runs as Virat was alone handling the situation.
Going on, he completed his century and was still adding runs for his team.
With his knock of 113 runs, RCB made a total of 183/3.
None of the other batsmen other than Faf stood with him to increase the total.
Rajasthan Royals (RR) Innings
Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler opened the innings for RR.
Reece Topley gave them an opening breakthrough as Jaiswal got out on the second delivery.
Sanju came in to bat as he started to form a match-winning partnership with Jos.
They were both adding runs and taking their teams close to victory.
They also completed their half-centuries as Sanju lost his wicket to Mohammad Siraj.
In the next two overs, two other batsmen got out, and Jos didn’t lose hope.
He kept on adding runs as he finished the match with a six and also completed his century.
In a single match, two centuries were seen as Jos also came back to form, which is the best news for RR.
RR are unbeaten in the tournament till now, as they have won all four of their matches.
