The Under-19 teams of India, Australia, and South Africa head into the semi-finals of the U-19 World Cup.

The last spot will be taken by the winner, who will have a better NRR in the match between Pakistan and Bangladesh.

In total, 16 teams participated in the U-19 World Cup, as South Africa was the host nation.

Automatic Qualification

South Africa, India, Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, Ireland, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, the West Indies, and Zimbabwe got the automatic qualification.

Apart from these teams, Namibia, Nepal, New Zealand, Scotland, and the United States got the regional qualification.

All these teams were divided into groups of four.

Group Stages

Group A consisted of India, Bangladesh, Ireland, and the United States.

Whereas Group B consisted of South Africa, England, the West Indies, and Scotland.

Group C had Australia, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, and Namibia.

Group D had Pakistan, New Zealand, Nepal, and Afghanistan.

Out of all the group teams, the top three teams from each group will advance to the Super Six stages.

All the teams that have a better NRR and have won the most number of matches will go ahead in the Cup.

Super Six stage

Group A, India, Bangladesh, and Ireland enhanced to the upcoming stage.

And from group D, Pakistan, New Zealand, and Nepal went to the next stage.

The teams from Groups A and D were put in Super Six Group 1.

Whereas from group B, South Africa, England, and the West Indies qualified for the next stage.

And from group C, Australia, Sri Lanka, and Zimbabwe went to the next stage.

The teams from both groups were kept in Super Six Group 2.

Semi-Finals

In total, every team got a chance to play four matches, and according to the wins and NRR, the teams were sent to the next stages.

From Super Six Group 1, India made it to the semi-finals as they didn’t lose any matches.

Pakistan might be the second team to make it to the Super Six Group 1 semi-finals, as they have a better NRR and have won more matches than Bangladesh.

Australia and South Africa made it to the semi-finals of the Super Six Group 2.

India will face South Africa in the semifinals, just as Australia will face either Pakistan or Bangladesh.
