What a season of sports! ICC T20 World Cup couldn’t have come at any better time than this. India is all set to take on favourite and defending Champion, Australia in its home grounds. Bookies Favourites for India: 

KL Rahul, is absolutely on fire! Rahul has knocked 57 (28), 55 (35), 62 (41) in his last 3 T20 innings. Rahul played an impactful innings in the warm up match against Australia with 57 (33),   Rahul is the skipper of Lucknow Super Giants, and has scored over 3,200 runs in IPL games. 

Rohit Sharma, one should not doubt the potential of Rohit, when it comes to batting. The skipper of Mumbai Indians, with over 5,800 runs in IPL, has failed to play according to his reputation. In the last 5 T20 innings Rohit’s average is just over 21 and that includes 2 ducks against South Africa. 

Virat Kohli, known as King of T20 format, the skipper of Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Virat’s maiden T20 century of 122 not out, which came in just 61 balls against Afghanistan, during Asia Cup has again shown why he is one of the favourites of the bookies. In 10 innings, Virat has managed the average of 45.50 with 141.63 strike rate. w

Suryakumar Yadav, for hitting balls all direction of the ground, SKY has earned the nickname of Mr 360. Playing at 4th position, SKY has been an absolute sensation for his career average of 38.70 and strike rate of over 176. SKY managed a comfortable 50 from 33 balls.  

Mohmmad Shami, playing for Gujrat Giants, Shami was picked 18 wickets in the IPL season of 2022. India banks heavily on Shami in the absence of Jaspreet Bumrah for the current T20 World Cup. During the warm match against Australia, Shami managed to pull the victory of 7 runs, with his miraculous spell of 4 wickets haul the 19th of over of the innings. 

Shami hasn’t played any T20 matches, post IPL of this year. Mohammad Siraj is a tough contender for the tournament, performing great against South Africa, however Shami is favoured to play the World Cup vowing to his decade long experience.
