DELHI : Delhi Capitals who looked promising in the beginning of the tournament lost their 2nd match on the trot. Facing Sunrises Hyderabad in their home leg, Delhi Capitals wanted to win this game for their crowd. But

It was typical kotla pitch, the Hyderabad skipper Bhuvneshwar Kumar won the toss and put Delhi to bat. On a sluggish pitch it was very difficult for the batsman to stay on the crease. The promising looking Prithvi Shaw, was the first man to be dismissed and later Dhawan joined him and got dismissed by Nabi. Throughout this tournament Dhawan looked quite edgy.

SEH bowlers were on a role as they restricted Delhi on 127

In the entire inning, Delhi batsmen were struggling to pick the SRH bowlers. Apart from the skipper, Shreyas Iyer none of the batsman looked comfortable on the crease. They kept on playing sloopy shots, And put Delhi in the worst position. At the end of first strategic time out Delhi scored only 80 runs at the loss of 5 wicket . Later Morris and Iyer departed after scoring some big shots. With the help of some fireworks by Axar Patel, Delhi put 129-8 at the end of their inning. Iyer was the highest scorer for Delhi with 43 runs of just 41 deliveries.

Bairstow continued his good form as scored another 47 of 28 deliveries

To make any differences Delhi needed some quick wickets as Bairstow and warner are in sublime form in this tournament. But Bairstow took away the match from Delhi, as targeted the bowler from the beginning and scored brilliant 47 runs of just 28 balls before dismissed by Tewatia. As the target was not that big, Despite losing wickets Hyderabad  comfortably clinched the victory with 9 balls remaining. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is looking good in his new role as skipper. But his bowling performance is not as effective as his captaincy as he only have got 2 wicket in 3 matches.

It was a complete team performance as every member of the team contributed really well. Bowling, Batting, and Fielding were quite impressive. For giving a quick start to his team, Bairstow again won the man of match award.
