The Punjab Kings (PBKS) put an end to their series of losses as they won against the Gujarat Titans.

PBKS started the IPL 2024 season with a great win over the Delhi Capitals.

After that, they face consecutive losses against RCB and LSG.

The Punjab Kings will be looking forward to breaking their losing streak.

The Gujarat Titans won their last match and will be looking forward to another win.

Match Details

The 17th March of IPL was all set to be played in the homegrown Gujarat Titans, Ahmedabad.

The Punjab Kings won the toss and were elected to the field first.

Gujarat Titans (GT) Innings

Wriddhiman Shah and Shubman Gill opened the innings for them.

They both started great and showed their power.

Kagiso Rabada came and took the wicket of Wriddhiman, giving the first breakthrough to the GT team.

Kane Williamson came in to bat as he and Gill formed a short partnership.

Harpreet Brar didn’t let them extend their partnership as he took the wicket of Kane.

Gill was showing clear dominance from one end as he soon completed his half-century.

He was forming partnerships with all the batsmen, but they weren’t able to stand for long.

In the end, the outstanding knock of 89 runs by Gill and the short knocks by other players GT formed a total of 199/4.

Kagiso Rabada took two wickets, whereas Harpreet Brar and Harshal Patel took one wicket each.

Ashutosh Sharma came in as the impact player.

Punjab Kings (PBKS) Innings

Shikhar Dhawan and Jonny Bairstow opened the innings for PBKS.

Shikhar, in the second over, lost his wicket as Prabhsimran and Jonny took the wicket.

They weren’t able to take the inning for long as Noor bowled Jonny.

Soon, Prabhsimran also lost his wicket, followed by Sam Curran.

Shashank Singh and Ashutosh Singh started to handle the wickets.

Shanshak was showing great momentum and hitting great shorts as he completed his half-century.

With his knock and the short knocks by others, PBKS won the match by three wickets.
