South Africa wins the test match against India by an innings and 32 runs.

India was in South Africa for the tour of three T-20Is, three ODIs, and two test matches.

The T-20I series got tied as India and South Africa both won one match, and one match was abandoned.

After the T-20I series, India won the ODI series as they won two matches out of three.

Match Details

The first test match was going to be played in Centurion.

South Africa won the toss and elected to field first.

India First Innings

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma opened the innings for India.

They weren’t able to give a good start to their team as Rohit lost his wicket to Rabada.

Nandre Burger didn’t let Yashasvi settle for long as he took his wicket.

Kagiso Rabada and Nandre Burger were taking frequent wickets of the Indian team.

Virat and Shreyas handled the situation in between, as Rabada bowled Shreyas.

Soon Virat also lost his wicket as KL Rahul handled the situation from one end.

He soon completed his half-century as no other batsmen could support him.

With his knock of 101 runs, India reached 245 runs.

Kagiso Rabada took a haul of five wickets, while Nandre Burger took three wickets.

South Africa First Innings

Aiden Markram and Dean Elgar opened the innings for South Africa.

Mohammad Siraj gave them an opening breakthrough in the form of Aiden.

Dean and Tony handled the situation from there, as Tony lost his wicket to Bumrah.

In his next over, he took the wicket of Keegan as Dean and David handled the situation.

Dean soon completed his half-century, as did David.

David lost the wicket as soon as Kyle also lost his wicket.

Dean completed his century as Marco completed his half-century.

With the knock of 185 runs by Dean and 84 runs by Marco, they made a total of 408 runs.

Jasprit Bumrah took four wickets, while Mohammad Siraj took two wickets.

India Second Innings

South Africa was in the lead by 163 runs by the end of the first innings.

Rohit and Yashasvi failed to give a good start to their team.

India started to lose wickets from the start as Virat stood in between and tried to make an impact.

The knock of 76 runs by him took India to a total of 131 runs as they lost all their wickets.

Kagiso Rabada took two wickets, Marco Jansen took three, and Nandre Burger took four.

South Africa won the match by 32 runs and an inning.
