Avinash Raghava, co-founder of software think tank iSPIRT, has now joined Accel Partners as a community platform evangelist. He will now mentor the venture capital firm’s portfolio companies as well as other startups.

Commenting about this, Avinash Raghava said:

My role would be to engage and build a community for Accel portfolio companies and also help cross-learning to happen with different teams. I would be working closely with the Accel leadership team and we will be contributing to different initiatives in the ecosystem.

As a part of his new role, he will be holding meet-up sessions and events for discussions with entrepreneurs. He further adds that:

The specific role that I have is to ensure that entrepreneurs benefit from the wealth of experience that Accel has in building and growing companies. My job is to help Accel play a pivotal role in developing the ecosystem through mentoring and thought leadership.

Avinash, in his decade and a half long career, built and supported some amazing programs and initiatives for India’s product ecosystem at NASSCOM and then at iSPIRT.

iSPIRT, an acronym for Indian Software Product Industry Round Table, began as a consortium of 30 Indian software companies in 2013. It is touted as one of the rare professionally run change agencies that is exclusively led by volunteers working on a pro-bono basis.

It aims to promote tech entrepreneurship in India by nurturing and making fertile an ecosystem that helps Indian software product startups.

Accel is one of active and leading venture capital firm. Some of the companies that Accel has backed in the early stages are Flipkart, BookMyShow, Bluestone, Freshworks, among others.
