Bangalore-based Noticeboard, a mobile-first communication platform for on-field staff, has announced that it has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from former Myntra CTO Shamik Sharma and TaxiForSure founder Aprameya Radhakrishna.

Along with investing money in the company, Shamik Sharma and Aparmeya Radhakrishna will now also be joining the company as advisors or mentors. They will help to strengthen the product and design team at Noticeboard.

The company has said that the current round of funding is in continuation of the ₹8 crore funding round it raised in July this year, which was led by Stellaris Venture Capital.

Vishal Gahlaut, CEO of Noticeboard, said,

Shamik is working with us to figure out our mobile strategy and how we can go forward on our tech-product side. As far as Aprameya goes, his business was built on the back of drivers, which is a significant target area for us. His insights on dealing with ground staff and how the product should adhere to that is a valuable skill set to leverage.

Noticeboard was founded by Vishal Gahlaut, Vishesh Dahinwal and Sarath Chandran in August 2016. All of them are former executives at Myntra and were handling marketplace, logistics and product functions.

The Bengaluru-based startup focusses on frontline staff, enabling them with organisational communication through digital platforms, including smartphones. The platform can also be used offline. The company claims that it is a first-of-its-kind product that addresses the communication lacunae between the desk and field staff.

The list of clients for the platform includes Myntra, Pepperfry, Grofers etc. The company is also reportedly running a pilot of its suite for last mile delivery companies in Singapore, Nigeria and the Philippines.
