Microsoft, the Redmond-based tech giant, has announced that list of 14 startups that have been selected by the company for its accelerator programme.

The selected startups will now be able to work closely with Microsoft Accelerator team to boost their enterprise readiness and go-to-market activities.

The accelerator programme was launched in the year 2012 with an aim to help the early-stage startups. However, the focus has now been shifted from early-stage startups to late-stage startups.

So far, almost 129 startups have been a part of Microsoft Accelerator, and the newly selected 14 startups are the part of company’s 11th cohort.

Commenting on this, Bala Girisaballa, Managing Director, Microsoft Accelerator, says,

With continued efforts to increase collaboration between startups and corporates, the programme will help these startups scale up with partnerships.

All the startups have a strong vector of disruption and all of them are on the cloud. Apart from B2B and global, they have an in depth knowledge of problem-solving.

The selected 14 startups include Clonect, Ace Turtle, Udaan, Simplilearn,  MintM, Hotelogix, Docswallet, MegDap, GIEOM, i-exceed, KrypC, Liv.ai, VideoKen, and Kata.AI.

The company has revealed that the average age of the startups is 3.5 years and have collectively raised around $64 million in funding till date. On an average, each startup has about 80 employees and clock an Average Revenue Rate of $2.6 million.

In this list of startups, Indonesia-based artificial intelligence startup kata.AI is the first non-Indian startup to be selected to participate in the accelerator programme.

As a part of the programme, the startups will get a chance to work with the accelerator team to improve their enterprise readiness, market strategies and leverage on Microsoft’s customer and partner network.
