After the successful launch of the Galaxy Note 8, Samsung engineers are busy working on the next flagship for the Korean tech-giant. These are the early renders of the Samsung Galaxy S9, so, there is a good chance that this might not be the upcoming S9 at all.

According to the latest analysis, the device will feature an all glass design, just like its present flagship smartphone. However, the oddly places finger print scanner will be omitted in favour of the new sensor embedded on to the screen itself.

The Galaxy S9 will be offered in two models, one powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 and an Exynos variant. The device will offer 6 GB RAM for the entry-level variant and might go up to 10 GB for the limited edition. In terms of storage, the device will offer 64 GB onboard storage with an external SD card slot (up to 256 GB).

In terms of camera, the device will have similar technology that is incorporated in the Galaxy Note 8. One normal sensor and a telephoto sensor for X2 optical zoom and to capture the depth of field. Coming to the front facing camera, the device will feature an 8 MP selfie camera with facial recognition capability. The device is expected to offer 3D facial recognition paired with an infrared scanner for the low light recognition.

The Galaxy S9 will have bezels, however, they will be narrower than the one that we have seen in Galaxy S8 and Note 8. The device will offer 3000 mAh or higher capacity battery with fast charging and wireless charging capability. Just like present generation, the device will be offered in two variants, one with a 6.4-inch screen and a smaller variant with a 5.7-inch screen with QHD AMOLED display.
