Many small scale businesses or start-ups or even big giants like Amazon, Apple will all rely on the promotion of their products and it is important from marketing point of view. Google is a vast platform for advertising and it has many options for that. Now, Google is extending its verification program to all its advertisers.

The one who wants to promote his/her product has to submit their business documents, personal identification and any required information to prove who they are and from which country they operate.

This development will help users to see who is the advertiser and can take decisions on whether to click on such ads. This helps Google to find out bad advertisers before they reach a wider audience. Overall this development will definitely help Google to improve its ad qualities as only authorized organisations will participate.

Earlier, Google launched its advertiser identity program in 2018 but it was meant only for political advertisers in Us. Now it has decided to extend to all forms of advertisers and to all over the world. However, it is expected that this will take a few years to complete.

The advertisers will be given 30 days to submit the required documents. Once submitted it would take 3-5 days for Google to verify. If, advertisers fail to submit their ads will be stopped. A brief description of what advertising verification program includes:

  • Advertisers have to submit their personal identification
  • Business incorporation documents
  • Any other required documents
  • Has to inform from which country they are operating.
