Huawei’s upcoming premium mid-tier smartphone, Huawei Nova 3 surfaced online on TENAA revealing its complete set of specifications along with the new design language. With respect to looks and aesthetics, the smartphone follows the new trend with full glass unibody design, paired with a metal mid-frame for the structural integrity.

The smartphone comes with an internal code-named (HWI-AL00) with Huawei Nova 3 as the market name. On the front, the device houses an all-new 18:9 aspect ratio display, with very narrow bezels and a front firing fingerprint scanner. As a matter of fact, this is the first smartphone to feature a front-facing fingerprint scanner on an 18:9 aspect ratio display.

The smartphone will be powered by the in-house HiSilicon Kirin 659 Octa-core SoC, which powers the Huawei Honor 9i and the Huawei Honor 7X. This efficient processor will be paired with 4 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 64 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot (up to 128 GB). In terms of connectivity, the smartphone is expected to offer dual nano-SIM card slot with 4G LTE and VoLte capability on both the slots.

In terms of camera capability, the smartphone offers a dual rear-facing camera setup with a 16 MP RGB sensor and a 2 MP depth sensing sensor. The main camera does offer features like portrait mode. In terms of video recording capability, the smartphone can record 1080p video recording capability up to 30 frames per second. For the selfie enthusiasts, the smartphone offers a 13 MP + 2 MP selfie camera with the potrait mode for the selfies as well. If you remember, this will be the same camera setup as that of the Huawei Honor 9i.

With respect to operating system, the device is expected to be powered by Android Nougat 7.0 with custom EMUI 5.1 on the top with customization features. Other standard features like 3.5 mm headphone jack, USB type C port for charging and data syncing will make this a sure upgrade over the Huawei Nova 3. Finally, the smartphone will feature a 3340 mAh Li-ion sealed battery with fast charging capability via USB type C port. So, what do you think about the Huawei Nova 3?
