Micromax India launches a new mid-tier Android smartphone in India. The Micromax Selfie 3 priced INR 11,999. Don’t confuse with the Micromax Canvas Selfie 3, which was launched earlier in 2015.
The Micromax Selfie 3 features full metal unibody solution in Black and Blue colour paint job. The device will be available across the nation from 23rd September 2017 via offline retail channel only.
The Micromax Selfie 3 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 Octa-core SoC, paired with 3 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 32 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot (up to 128 GB). The device offers standard 5.5-inch 1080p IPS LCD grade screen protected by the 2.5D curved tempered glass with three Android style capacitive buttons.
In terms of camera, as the name gives the hint, the smartphone offers a 16 MP front-facing selfie camera with a dedicated single tone LED flash with 1080p video recording capability. On the rear-end, the device packs 13 MP rear-facing camera with dual-tone LED flash with PDAF and 1080p video recording capability. The smartphone also offers the standard fingerprint scanner, which can unlock the smartphone in just 0.2 seconds.
The Micromax Selfie 3 offers dual SIM card slot with 4G LTE and VoLte capability on both the slots. The device is backed by a 3000 mAh Li-ion battery with fast charging capability (10 watts) via micro USB port with USB OTG support as well. Standard features like Bluetooth, WiFi, WiFi Hotspot and not to forget the 3.5 mm headphone jack is also present. The device runs on Android Nougat with custom UI on the top, but there is no confirmation regarding the Android Oreo upgrade.
Recent offers in the e-commerce websites like Amazon and Flipkart for the trending smartphones like Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Redmi 4, Moto G5S Plus make this phone an absolute nonsense at the price tag which is being offered.
