Nubia has launched a new entry level Android smartphone called Nubia M2 Play in India. The device does offer a wide range of features including full metal unibody design and 4G LTE with VoLte capability. The device is priced at INR 8,999 and availability will be exclusive to Amazon India.

Picking up a smartphone under INR 15,000 in India is very difficult task, as most of the players offer similar specifications and at the similar price tag. However, the Nubia smartphones have a soft spot from my side, in fact, we think Nubia offers best in-class built quality in all the categories. The red accent on the camera bump and navigation keys do differentiate this device with the other smartphones.

This device is stated to cater the entry level to mid-range smartphones buyers. The device offers a unique set of features, which is not usually seen at this price tag. The device offers full-metal unibody design with rear mounted finger print scanner and a Gold-Black-Red Colour combination to make it look trendy.

The Nubia M2 Play is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 Octa-core SoC, paired with 3 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 32 GB onboard storage (micro SD card up to 128 GB). The device features 5.5 inch HD 720p IPS LCD screen with Corning Gorilla Glass on the top.

Coming to the camera features, the device offers 13 MP rear-facing camera with 1080p video recording capability and a 5 MP wide-angle (up to 84-degree viewing angle) front-facing camera. The 3000 mAh battery packed with Neo Power 2.5 technology will constantly monitor the device’s battery usage and improves the battery capacity. The Nubia M2 Play runs on Android Nougat with custom Nubia UI on the top.

The device comes with micro USB port without any fast charging capability, however, the device does support USB OTG (connect a pen drive, hard disk, mouse or any USB peripherals). With respect to the connectivity, the device offers support for dual band WiFi (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz).
