Vivo India is all set to launch a new premium mid-tier Android smartphone in India dubbed as the Vivo V7. Don’t confuse this with the Vivo V7+, as this will be a toned down version of the same with a small cut in the actual retail pricing can also be expected. One can watch the Live presentation on Flipkart.

As the Vivo V7 has already been made available in the Indonesia, which retails for DR 3,799,000, which roughly translates for ₹18,299, so, we can expect this device to be priced at ₹17,000 or lesser. With respect to the design and aesthetics, the smartphone offers an almost identical full metal unibody solution with a 2.5D front-glass on the front. Let’s look at the actual tech specifications of the Vivo V7 for further understanding.

The Vivo V7 offers a 5.7-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) IPS LCD grade screen, protected by 2.5D Curved tempered glass on the top. Under the hood, the device is powered by an unspecified Qualcomm Snapdragon Octa-core SoC, paired with 4 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 32 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot (up to 256 GB).

On to the connectivity, the smartphone offers dual nano-SIM card slots with 4G LTE and VoLte capability. Other standard features like WiFi, WiFi Hotspot, and Bluetooth 4.2 are also supported out of the box.

With respect to the camera capability, the smartphone offers a 24 MP front-facing selfie camera with 1080p video recording capability with wider selfie mode. For the main camera, the company has used a 16 MP main camera, with F/2.0 aperture with 1080p video recording capability, so, just like most of the Vivo smartphones, this is also a camera-centric smartphone selfie centric features.

Finally, all these things are powered by a sealed 3000 mAh Li-ion battery with fast charging capability, however, the only disappointment about this smartphone is the use of micro USB port, instead of the future proof USB type C port.
