Corruption, terrorism, nepotism being effectively addressed in New India: PM Narendra Modi says at Paris’ UNESCO address

Paris, August 23: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Friday the nation is effectively tackling corruption, nepotism, dynastic rules, and terrorism and his BJP government was pursuing a decision in the right direction and clear policy.

Addressing the Indian community at the UNESCO in Paris today, Modi spoke of his administration’s moves to implement a law against “Triple Talaq”, adding crores of praises and blessings by women in India will be beneficial in the future, according to ANI news reports.

Modi said there was no chance of stopping New India or getting tired. He said, “In New India, nepotism, family rule, loot of people’s money, terrorism … the way these are being checked, it has never happened in the past. There is no question getting tired or stopping in New India.”

Modi, who received praisings from the gathering many times while delivering speech, stated the globe “infra” represents ties between France and India.

He said, “Here infra has some other meaning. It stands for India and Frane. It is a partnership, an alliance between India and France. From solar infra to social infra, technology infra to space infra, from digital infra to defence infra, the alliance between India and France is moving forward strongly.”

The Prime Minister also said the 2nd BJP-led administration has assumed the post some 75 days back and has not invested time in felicitation programmes.

He said, “It has completed 75 days in office. Inspired by ‘spasht niti, sahi disha’, we are taking one decision after another.”

He added, “The sword of Triple Talaq should keep hanging … we have ended it. Whether someone says it or not, the blessings of crores of daughters will be beneficial for the country in the centuries to come. How can new India accept injustice with Muslims sisters and daughters.”

Modi said India’s second moon mission “Chandrayaan-2” will make a landing on the moon on September 7, becoming the fourth such nation in the world to achieve such a level.
