Apple has recently added another product to its portfolio in 2020 which is, the AirPods Max. Its an over-the-ear headphones that were recently announced by Apple and are the first over-the-ear headphones from Apple and will compete with offerings from the likes of Bose, Sony, Jabra and others.
AirPods Max will be available in five different colours – space gray, silver, sky blue, green and pink. They are already available for pre-orders and will be available from 15th December. They have been priced at Rs.59,900 and this also makes the as one of the more expensive headphones available. They have been powered by Apple’s H1 chip and uses computational audio for delivering superior audio quality.
The headband of AirPods Max is made of stainless steel with a mesh canopy on top. The magnetic ear cups have a mesh design and are also detachable. It features a button known as Digital Crown that can be used for volume controls, play or pause audio, skip tracks and answer or end phone calls. The magnetic ear cushions can be replaced at a price of Rs.6,500 if anyhow gets damaged.
AirPods Max has a 40-mm Apple-designed driver that has been claimed to produce deep bass, accurate mids and crisp highs. Apple has also claimed that it offers around 20 hours of battery life. Some important features include Adaptive EQ, Active Noise Cancellation, Transparency mode and spatial audio. It has a Smart Case that can help to preserve battery charge if its not being used. It does not come with a charger inside the box.
