Huawei has launched a new smartphone dubbed as the P Smart+ (2019). The new device is very similar to the Huawei P Smart (2019) that the company launched earlier this year. The Huawei P Smart+ and Huawei P Smart share a lot of similarities. The P Smart+(2019) comes with a 6.21-inch display with a dewdrop notch, a 3400mAh battery; and is powered by Huawei’s Kirin 710 SoC, same as the P Smart (2019). The P Smart+ (2019), however, comes with a triple camera setup compared to the dual camera setup of Huawei P Smart (2019).
The new Huawei P Smart+ (2019) surfaced on the company’s website and is expected to go on sale globally in the coming weeks. There are pricing details shared by the company, nevertheless, the Huawei P Smart (2019) came with a price tag of EUR 249 (roughly ₹20,300), so we can expect the newer smartphone to be priced slightly higher.
In terms of specifications, the Huawei P Smart+ (2019) features a 6.21-inch display with waterdrop notch. It is powered by Huawei’s HiSilicon Kirin 710 SoC, which includes an octa-core processor with four A73 cores and four A53 cores. The processor on the device is coupled with 3GB of RAM and 64GB storage, which is expandable by up to 512GB via the microSD card slot.
At the camera front, the Huawei P Smart+ (2019) features a triple camera setup compromising of a 24-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 16-megapixel sensor with an ultra wide angle lens. At the front, the device houses an 8-megapixel selfie shooter. The cameras on the device feature AI scene detection which, according to the company, identifies over 500+ scenes and 22 categories in real-time. In comparison, the Huawei P Smart (2019) featured a 13-megapixel primary sensor with a 2-megapixel secondary depth sensor.
The Huawei P Smart+ (2019) has a fingerprint scanner at the back next to the camera module. The device runs on Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box with EMUI 9.0 on top. It will be offered in Starlight Blue and Midnight Black colors.
