As the assembly election in Himachal Pradesh are nearing, BJP and Congress, both the parties have started with the fight of survival of the fittest by attacking each other and pulling the image of the party down.

Recently in an interview with ET, BJP Lok Sabha MP Anurag Thakur attacked, Himachal Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh saying that the CM has only been fighting cases and appealing for bail. On the other hand, while addressing the concluding function of ‘Sankalp Diwas’ organised by Youth Congress in Mandi, Shimla on Monday, Virbhadra also responded back saying that BJP always believes in divisive politics and tries to divide the people on the basis of region and religion.

He appealed to the people not to pay attention to the propaganda of BJP as it was a party which talked much and did less. He said that at this point all the people need to stand together as united and work together for a change. He also added that BJP can never think practically and for the welfare of the people.

Commenting on the failure of the BJP’s “Parivartan Rathyatra”, Virbhadra said that BJP will not benefit by doing such yatras, as to win the confidence of the people one needs to go to the people and discuss their problems with them at the grass root level. He also said that he could not see any public following the Rathyatra and instead the BJP leaders were having competition amongst each other to sit in the rath.

Further speaking the CM suggested BJP learn the way of running the country smoothly by former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He said that Vajpayee ruled the country like gentlemen and kept alive the spirit of healthy politics and that BJP should learn from him.

Talking about the case of Income Tax return filed against him, Virbhadra said that it is shocking that 3 departments, CBI, Income Tax and the Enforcement Directorate are behind him at the same time, but the truth will soon dismiss all rumours.
