Delhi Police on September 30, 2020 arrested eighteen gamblers, three of whom were women. The information was received by Lajpat Nagar staff about gambling being held at Lajpat Nagar II.
On the nod of senior officials on information received, a team conducted raid at a house located in said area.
At the site of arrest, police recovered 1,197 plastic coins, playing cards and cash amounting to Rupees 7,10,000, as reported by India Today.
The money amounting to over Rupees 7 Lakh was being used as stake money. The plastic coins which were 1,197 in number were of different denominations.
