Bollywood actress Zaira Wasim says that she is getting more love for the movie ‘Secret Superstar’ rather than for the movie ‘Dangal’. Zaira received a rave review and a National Award for her performance in her Bollywood debut movie with a title ‘Dangal’, but however, she believes that the response which she is getting for her latest release movie ‘Secret Superstar’ is more overwhelming.
Yesterday, she celebrated her 17th birthday at her co-star Aamir Khan’s place. Zaira says that people are really appreciating her performance in the recently released movie and the shows in her home state, Jammu and Kashmir, is running successfully. She is getting more message from the people of this movie rather than ‘Dangal’. People are showering an immense love for the movie and she says that this is her best birthday gift she got from the audience that they all giving so much love and appreciation for the movie. She says that she is very happy and overwhelmed with the response and her friends in the Jammu are not getting the tickets. The best response she has received for her performance as ‘Insia’ is from her father.
Zaira says she has gone along with her parents to watch the screening for the cast and the crew and her parents were watching the movie together, while she was not there while they were watching the movie and when the movie got over she was out. Later, her cousin said to her that while watching the movie her father was crying throughout the movie. She says that when her father left the theater there were tears in his eyes and this is very first when she saw her father crying because he never cries. When her father saw her he hugged Zaira and kissed her on her forehead and she believes that was the best compliment she got.
The movie ‘Secret Superstar’ was written and directed by Advait Chandan and produced by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao. The movie features Zaira Wasim, Meher Vij and Aamir Khan in lead roles. The movie which revolves around a girl named ‘Insia’ and her dream. She has a dream of becoming a singer and her father does not want her to be a singer. Later, she realizes her dream by wearing a hijab and taking to YouTube to secretly upload her songs. In the movie, Aamir Khan will be playing the mentor.
Zaira is getting the appreciations from the celebrities like Rajkumar Hirani, Kabir Khan and much more. Zaira says that now everything seems surreal to her now. However, it is a fact that she has given a hit after the weekend is very exciting to her. She has been visiting the theaters to watch the movie along with the audience and the experience was amazing to see a packed hall with full of laughter, crying, clapping to your film and it is just very humbling.
