After much speculation regarding the hosts for the tenth season of Indian Idol, Manish Paul has finally confirmed his presence on the TV show. Indian Idol has been around since the early years of 2004, and is based on the English reality show Pop Idol. After having many competent hosts such as Karan Wahi and Asha Negi, the crew of Indian Idol now beckons Manish Paul as the new addition.

In a public statement, Manish Paul announced to his fans that he was indeed invited to host the TV show, and was extremely excited to assume his role officially. Manish confirmed that this was indeed the first time he would be hosting a music show. Prior to this, he had been associated with well-known dance reality shows like Dance Ke Superstars, and Dance India Dance Li’l Masters. He also won the award for Best Anchor for his much-appreciated role in the latter back in 2011. Manish had also been a proud part of the Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa family, hosting the TV programme for 5 consecutive seasons, starting from 2012.

However, since he has never hosted anything akin to Indian Idol, Manish explained that he was aware that the lack of experience was going to be something of a hindrance during the filming. Despite that, Manish said that he knew that Indian Idol was one of the finest reality shows on Indian television, and promised to do become a worthy emcee of the show.
