Two-wheelers have witnessed a steep decline in sales due to the ongoing pandemic. However, the industry is still trying hard enough to find that route to revival. This morning, the Italian brand introduced the updated Ducati Panigale V4 in India and now, it is time for the manufacturer to introduce the 2021 Ducati Diavel for the Indian market. Changes are very subtle on the updated range but keeping in mind the current conditions, they are worth it.

Ducati is now accepting bookings for both variants. But to be precise, the standard Diavel comes priced at Rs.18.49 Lakhs. Further, there is a top-spec Diavel S variant that comes with a premium price tag of Rs.21.49 Lakhs (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi).

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • 2021 Ducati Diavel 1260 is now available in India at Rs.18.49 Lakh onwards.
  • Just like the Panigale V4, even this one is available with an ‘S’ variant.
  • It comes powered by a BS6 compliant 1262cc L-twin Testastretta engine.

The updated Ducati Diavel 1260 is available with several mechanical updates. But surprisingly, the bike manufacturer has successfully managed to retain its iconic look. For starters, it still gets an all-LED headlamp setup, sculpted fuel tank, dual exhaust and stepped-up seat. Also, several electronic aids such as cornering ABS, wheelie control, multi-level traction control, launch control and different ride modes will be a part of the updated motorcycle.

Currently, the regular model of the powerful naked cruiser will get the Dark Stealth colour shade. However, customers who opt for the ‘S’ variant can choose between the Thrilling Black and Ducati Red shades on offer.

At the heart, the updated Ducati Diavel 1260 will now be available with a BS6 compliant 1262cc L-twin Testastretta engine. To put everything in numbers, it is truly capable of producing 162HP @ 9,500 RPM and 129Nm of peak torque @ 7,500 RPM. For transmission duties, Ducati has engaged a 6-speed gearbox for smoother operations.

To differentiate between the regular and S variant, Ducati has introduced model-specific Brembo M50 brakes. In addition to this, the Ohlins suspension setup and different alloy design will surely help enthusiasts to identify the exact one.
