An official announcement to make dual airbags mandatory on each and every new car in India was made by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. Earlier, the last date for carmakers to meet all the requirements was fixed for 31st August but due to the ongoing pandemic, the governing bodies decided to push it further to 31st December 2021. Well, it looks like Renault wants to play safe, therefore, the French carmaker has already started introducing the new Kwid with dual airbags as standard.

As mentioned earlier, the new Renault Kwid will now come equipped with dual airbags as a standard feature. Interestingly, the Climber variant has also been revised with a new dual-tone exterior shade, precisely – White with a black roof. Additional features such as electric wing mirrors and day-night IRVM has also been included for the first time specifically for the Climber edition.

The French carmaker is also celebrating their wonderful journey of 10 years in the Indian market, therefore, special offers for this month is a must. According to Renault, customers going for the 2021 Kwid will now get a maximum benefit of up to Rs.80,000 on certain variants. The loyalty benefits on the other hand are up to Rs.1,10,000 and surprisingly, they are separate from the normal benefits mentioned above.

Some particular states and Union Territories including Maharastra, Gujrat and Goa will also get other benefits because of the upcoming festival season of Ganesh Chaturthi.

Other details

The all-new range of Renault Kwid will continue to come with either 0.8-litre petrol or a 1.0-litre petrol engine. Keeping in mind the buyers’ convenience, it will continue to get manual as well as AMT transmission. Other features such as pollen filter, USB fast charger and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto continues to be a part of the updated feature list.

A new RXT(O) variant has also been added to offer countless options to potential buyers.
