Features

You will still miss the IMU technology on the updated neo-retro motorcycle. As per the sources, the major reason behind it is cost-cutting. Other than this, the 2021 Triumph Twin Speed continues to get three modes, namely – Rain, Road and Sport to alter the overall performance.

Hardware

For braking duties, Triumph Motorcycles have introduced new Brembo M50 Monobloc callipers with massive 320mm discs onboard. In addition to this, the updated Speed Twin will not be using alloy wheels. Instead, a new set of 12-spoke wheels are making their debut for a retro feel. As claimed by the manufacturer, both of them runs on Metzeler Racetec RR rubbers that offers supreme grip.

Engine

Powering the all-new Triumph Speed Twin is a 1200cc twin-cylinder engine. The crankshaft of this unit has been replaced with a lighter unit, as a result the power figure of the updated bike now stands at 100HP and 112Nm. Surprisingly, there is an increment of 3HP when compared to the outgoing model.

Other updates in the form of a revised muffler can also be witnessed for the MY2021. The updated Speed Twin continues to come with a 6-speed gearbox as standard.

BMW Motorrad introduced the R nineT series in India with a price tag starting at Rs.18.51 Lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). For starters, it uses a 1170cc twin-cylinder boxer engine that churns out a massive 107BHP and 116Nm of peak torque. Unlike the outgoing model, the power figures of the updated neo-retro motorcycle can be altered using the ride modes. In terms of features, it gets LED headlights and a dual-barrel exhaust that makes it capable to compete against any other modern motorcycle.
