2022 Skoda Karoq
What’s new?
The updated Karoq definitely looks familiar, all thanks to the brand’s latest design language. The front profile of the compact SUV now comes with a larger radiator grille, slim LED headlamps, wider air intakes and a completely reprofiled bumper. As we move to the side, the wheel arches of the 2022 Karoq now incorporates a new set of larger alloy wheels.
Talking about the rear end, it now features sleek taillamps, a revised bumper and a functional roof spoiler as standard. Skoda believes in offering a personalised experience to each and every customer. As a result, a palette consisting of 9 different shades will be available across the entire range.
Inside the cabin, Skoda Karoq feels premium with a host of modern features. To begin with, the updated SUV now features an 8-inch fully digital driver’s display, a large infotainment system, connected car tech and an electric sunroof. Buyers can even go for the optional 10.25-inch Virtual Cockpit if they wish to. Interestingly, Skoda has introduced Sportline on the Karoq ultimately making it a complete package.
Engine Options
Skoda has decided to continue the diesel variant and this way, customers will get a wide variety of engine options. Three turbocharged petrol units including 1.0-litre TSI, 1.5-litre TSI and 2.0-litre TSI are exactly similar to what Volkswagen is offering on the 200 T-Roc. However, by retaining the 2.0-litre TDI engine, the Czech carmaker does get an upper hand.
Alternatives
Globally, Skoda Karoq directly competes against the likes of Volkswagen T-Roc. Want to learn more about it? Check out the 2022 T-Roc down below.
Volkswagen T-Roc
T-Roc always attracts a lot of attention on the road. The major reason behind such a spectacular road presence is of course the overall design language. Recently, the German brand has updated it and to be precise, has even introduced a sportier ‘R’ trim globally. Under the hood, it is still available with three petrol engine options. Feature-wise, the 2022 T-Roc comes loaded with VW’s new IQ.Drive Travel Assist technology, matrix LED headlights, 8-inch fully digital driver’s display and large touchscreen infotainment system to name a few.
