More affordable BMW! Well, 2021 cannot get better than this. There are some features that continue to be a part of the all-new 220i Sport variant. Meanwhile, some of them now stand replaced. To start, the fully digital instrument cluster that is available on the top-end variant is no more there. Instead, this variant comes with an analogue unit that is complemented by a 5.1-inch MID display.
Not to forget, the 10-speaker surround sound system is gone, the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment display is gone and even the wireless charging pad has been removed. What stays, is a smaller 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment display and a 6-speaker audio system. Other features, such as LED headlamps with DRLs, cruise control, panoramic sunroof and dual-zone climate control continues to serve the entry-level BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe.
So what power the entry-level variant? It is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol motor that powers the BMW 220i Sport. The maximum output from this engine stands at 190PS and 280Nm while being mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox. However, it can still do a 0-100kmph sprint in just 7.1 seconds.

The all-new Mercedes Benz A-Class Limousine will be launched in India on 25th March. This updated range is expected to be a big threat to the entry-level BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe. It comes powered by a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine that is capable of producing 160HP and 250Nm of torque.
Customers can also choose the diesel variants that draws power from a 2.0-litre diesel motor. The German carmaker is yet to announce the price of the Mercedes Benz A-Class Limousine. Therefore, this factor is going to play a massive role in determining its success in India.
