Maruti Suzuki Swift is one of the most popular hatchbacks in the Indian market, and the product has been proving itself time and again. Well, that is the only reason we are witnessing its evolution frequently. Currently, in its third generation avatar, the hatchback is all set for its life cycle update for the fourth time. Before its unveiling, India’s auto giant teased the 2024 Swift, announcing the bookings open.

Want to learn more about the upcoming Swift? Let’s take a look at the details right away.

2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift: What to expect?

The outline of the Swift has been identical since its inception, although the third-generation model saw a major design update. The fourth-generation Swift will be taking inspiration from the current model. However, there will be changes like a new front grille with DRLs incorporated in the same headlamp assembly, revised bumper (both front and rear), chunky alloy wheels, revamped bonnet hood and a slightly modified rear end.

Inside the cabin, the 2024 Swift is expected to take inspiration from premium models from the lineup, like Baleno and Fronx. The dashboard will be modern, with a new instrument cluster and a massive standing touchscreen infotainment system. Although, Maruti Suzuki has not announced the exact features yet.

The Swift range available globally has already received updates under the hood as well. To be precise, just like the global variants, the updated Swift might get a new 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine. Currently, it comes powered by a 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine and that is a K12C unit.

The Japanese iteration of the hatchback has performed decently in the Japanese NCAP crash test. However, that cannot be a parameter to understand the safety offered in the Indian model.

The bookings for 2024 Swift are open now, and to reserve their respective hatchbacks, customers need to pay a token amount of Rs.11,000 on Maruti Suzuki’s official website or nearest MS Arena dealerships.
