The Korean Automobile giant has finally launched its much-awaited Hyundai Santro with the latest BS-VI compliance and the model has finally hit the Indian market with a price range between Rs. 4.57 lakh and Rs. 6.20 lakh which is the ex-showroom. The company has finally launched it’s 2020 BS-VI version of Santro domestically and is offered in a total of four variants. The new 2020 Hyundai Santro BS6 comes with a price tag of Rs. 4.57 lakh for the entry-level model and goes up to Rs. 6.20 lakh for the Sports CNG trim (ex-showroom New Delhi).

If we talk about the specifications of the new enhanced budget hatchback, the Hyundai Santro BS-VI is powered by the conventional a 1.1-litre, four-cylinder petrol which is capable of producing a maximum power output of 68 bhp at 5,500 rpm and a peak torque of about 99 Nm at 4,500 RPM. The engine is mated with a five-speed manual transmission in standard variant and a five-speed AMT as an elementary option for higher variants. To address a wide range of buyers, this time the company has also planned to sell Santro in the CNG option as well.

The CNG variant comes with a different powertrain, which churns out a maximum of 58 bhp at 5,500 rpm and a peak torque of 84 Nm at 4,500 rpm and the engine is mated with a five-speed manual transmission.
If we take a look at the history of Hyundai Santro, The South Korean auto giant brought back its iconic Santro model after many years it was after years of withdrawn from the Indian market. As per the latest reports, the exterior of the model has no received any major changes even if it has accompanied the BS6 Santro.

The new model continues to pick some astonishing and classical feature from its predecessors such as the chromed cascading grille and sweptback headlights. Some new upgraded features include two-tone black and beige interior, touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, ABS with EBD, and reverse parking sensor as well. The model is expected to give tough competition to its most popular rival Maruti Suzuki Wagon-R.
