Mahindra Thar is known for its legendary off-road capability. The company has decided to reveal the all-new Mahindra Thar on 15th August. However, the unveiling event will be a live webcast. The details on bookings and launch will be revealed on a later date.

The all-new Mahindra Thar is expected to be longer and wider in every aspect. The 2020 Mahindra Thar is known to be inspired by the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon.

Mahindra Thar to be powered by a 2.0L m-Stallion Turbo Petrol engine. Another option to be the 2.2L m-Hawk diesel engine. Both the engine will be mated with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The engines will be a BS6 compliant.

Meanwhile, many new changes in the interior are done regarding comfort. The new Mahindra Thar will now offer a touchscreen infotainment system, reverse parking sensors, remote locking, and maybe a sunroof as well on the hardtop variant. Many safety features like dual passenger airbags and ABS are to be offered.

The all-new Mahindra Thar is also expected to get the front-facing rear seats unlike the previous one.

Mahindra is planning to launch the Mahindra Thar on the festive season. It will get the LED headlights, wider grille, and new alloy wheels. The dashboard is also expected to change completely for an all-new interior experience.

Mahindra however cleared that the event to take place on 15th August is an unveil event and the vehicle will be launched later this year. People can go through the live webinar on social media handles and the official website of the Mahindra.
