Remember, Mahindra XUV500 played a prominent role in establishing the compact 7-seater SUV segment for the carmaker. At the time of its first launch, the Indian brand priced it aggressively at Rs.10.8 Lakh onwards (ex-showroom, Delhi). Interestingly, the XUV500 is also associated with motorsports as it won the Desert Storm Rally in 2014.

For now, Mahindra & Mahindra is going through some serious evolutions regarding their SUVs. Sources suggest that the upcoming Mahindra XUV700 will replace the XUV500 as a 7-seater SUV. 2021 Mahindra XUV700

Enthusiasts are frequently keeping their eyes on the upcoming Mahindra XUV700. According to the sources, it is expected to be the epitome of compact 7-seater SUVs with features like ventilated seats, advanced connected car tech, panoramic sunroof, heads up display, AC vents for the third row and best in class space among others.

Possible seating layouts for the XUV700 can be both 6 as well as 7-seaters. Without a doubt, the first one is expected to get captain seats whereas, the latter one will be getting a bench seat for the second row.

The single unit infotainment display and digital instrument cluster similar to Mercedes-Benz are amplifying on the internet. Keeping in mind that, the interior of the upcoming SUV is expected to remain one of the best in terms of creature comforts and luxury.

Sources also suggest that the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) will remain the major highlight for the all-new Mahindra XUV700. If offered, it will be the first SUV to get such a feature therefore, it looks like XUV700 is worth the wait.

The company has not made any announcements yet. But the carmaker is testing a diesel engine with three different tunes known for producing 180HP, 190HP and 210HP respectively. Also, a powerful petrol engine will pave its way for the upcoming Mahindra XUV700. The Indian brand might not have released the exact date of launch for the SUV. But customers can expect it to launch somewhere around October 2021.

Tata launched the 7-seater version of Harrier using the Safari moniker. For starters, it is available with the same 2.0-litre Krotec turbo diesel engine that customers have already witnessed on the Harrier. Talking in numbers, this motor churns out a massive 168HP and 350Nm of torque while being mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter. Feature-wise, the SUV packs multiple features such as a panoramic sunroof, captain seats, 9-speaker JBL sound system, etc. among others.
