The convertible 765LT is obviously heavier than its Coupe counterpart. As claimed by the brand, the primary reason behind this weight gain is the retractable roof that ultimately results in an overall weight of 1388kgs.

For now, it will continue to run on a set of 10-spoke lightweight forged alloy wheels. Interestingly, all four of them comes wrapped in Pirelli P ZeroTM Trofeo R rubbers that offers enhanced grip for this much performance. There’s even some sort of revisions at the rear profile because of the carbon fibre rooftop availability.

Interestingly, the incorporation of ceramic brakes found on the Senna track monster has also been introduced.

Interior

Inside the cabin, the new convertible takes inspiration from its Coupe counterpart. Optimum use of carbon fibre and sports seats finished in Alcantara leather is still there for the rescue. However, McLaren has decided to remove the audio system and air conditioning system to shed some extra weight. Customers who wish to opt for them can do that in the form of optional accessories.

There are also several other customisation programmes from McLaren Special Operation Division that allows the buyer to add a special touch to their own supercars.

Engine & Performance

There was already a Coupe version of the same and McLaren claims that it is already sold out. Talking about the new 765LT Spider, the supercar features the brand’s 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine. The overall output from this unit is rated at 765BHP and 800Nm while being mated to a 7-speed automatic gearbox.

It is definitely powerful, therefore, expect McLaren 765LT Spider to clock a triple-digit speed in just 2.8 seconds. A 0-200kmph sprint from the same can be completed in 7.2 seconds with a top speed of 330kmph.

McLaren will only manufacture 765 units of the all-new 765LT Spider. The prices of the same starts at $382,500. Till now, there’s no confirmation if it is coming to India or not.
