Exterior

The exterior of the new G63 Grand Edition features multiple styling updates. For instance, the tri-star of Mercedes and AMG badges are now finished in Kalahari Gold Magno shade. Then, the brand has also introduced the Affalterbach emblem on the bonnet, and it gets a similar finishing to what the brand has introduced above. The usage of Kalahari Gold Magno shade is not restricted till here only. Instead, the SUV features 22-inch multi-spoke AMG forged wheels in a similar shade, and just like that, some other panels have also received a similar treatment.

Mercedes claims that the German automaker has introduced the exclusive MANUFAKTUR Night Black colour scheme only for the Grand Edition.

Interior

Just like what we witnessed on the outside, the designers at Affalterbach have done a commendable job inside the cabin as well. The G 63 Grand Edition gets a completely black cabin with some gold-coloured panels to give it a premium feel. Unlike the regular G 63, this one is more plush and as soon as the passengers enter the cabin, the illuminated “AMG” panel is all set to greet them.

Mercedes-AMG G 63 Grand Edition comes with Nappa leather with gold stitching for the seats. Thankfully, all of them are also finished with gold finished AMG logo at the headrest area.

To give its customers an upmarket feel, the SUV also gets Nappa leather on the grab handles inside the cabin. The steering wheel on the other hand is an AMG unit with DINAMICA microfibre. Basically, it is a multi-function unit.

Engine, Transmission and Performance

Just like the standard AMG G 63, this one features a 4.0-litre bi-turbocharged V8 engine that produces 585 horsepower and 850Nm of peak torque. Not to forget, Mercedes has confirmed that it can clock a triple-digit speed in just 4.5 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 220kmph.

Mercedes-Benz India will start delivering the all-new Mercedes-AMG G 63 Grand Edition to its customers in the first quarter of 2024.
