MG Astor

Astor is currently one of the most feature-rich compact SUVs in India. Lately, the brand has also confirmed that it is the first SUV in its segment to get a Level-2 ADAS which is definitely expected to work as its USP.
MG Motor India has decided to offer two engine options on the all-new Astor. Starting with the first one, it is a 1.3-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that churns out a decent 140PS and 220Nm of peak torque. There’s even a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol mill with overall output rated at 110PS and 144Nm that returns better mileage.
Talking about the transmission duties, it is managed by a 6-speed manual, torque converter or CVT gearbox depending upon the variant.
Just like Hyundai, even MG is ready to pitch its all-new product as a feature-loaded compact SUV. As per the brand, it is loaded with a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 7-inch fully digital instrument cluster and electrically adjustable driver’s seat. In terms of safety, Astor comes with forward collision warning, auto emergency braking and ADAS to name a few.
Hyundai Creta

Hyundai has always trusted Creta for the Indian market and even the compact SUV was capable enough of delivering the desired results. Recently, the brand has confirmed that around 6,00,000 units of Creta have already been sold in India. Thanks to the latest generation model that made Hyundai the second-largest carmaker here.
Need more choices? Hyundai Creta is already available with three engine options! To begin with, the entry-level variants are available with a 115PS, 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine. Apart from this, there’s a similarly displaced diesel unit with overall output rated at 115PS and 250Nm. Interestingly, a potent 140PS, 1.4-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine is also there for enthusiasts.
All these engines are currently being offered with manual, iMT or automatic gearboxes.
Feature-wise, Creta is loaded with tons of features including an electrically adjustable driver’s seat, wireless charging pad, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment, panoramic sunroof and connected car tech. On the safety front, it gets six airbags, ABS, electronic stability control and terrain response modes.
