Land Rover Explore

Land Rover, a four-wheel-drive specializing car brand, is now aiming to dominate Smartphone industry. Land Rover Explore, a tough looking rugged phone that focuses modular functionality like Motorola’s MotoMods. The phone has been aimed specifically at the people, who like outdoor trekking or other adventure sports.

The phone isn’t made by Land Rover itself. However, they lent the name to Land Rover Explore built by  Bullitt, a name famous for rugged phones dominance. In fact, the partnership has been announced a way to earlier in early 2016, following the launch recently at ISPO 2018 – outdoor sports trade show in Munich.

The idea of the modular phone started by Moto Mods, adds some functionality and tough look to the phone. Initially, the Land Rover explore will also come with the add-on called adventure pack, which adds a powerful GPS functionality, extra battery, and ViewRanger’s mapping for navigation. AR ViewFinder will work with the phone’s camera to identify the local geographical locations.

Apart from this, no other features have been announced,  more likely the new modular packs are to be introduced soon. No other specifications have been detailed yet, although a rugged modular body with IP68 water resistance. The Bullit confirms the phone to work on any climate including heavy rainfall.

However, the phone will be launched officially Mobile World Congress 2018 in February. Bullit clears the phone will be available in April for a suggested price of €649 or £599, which is around  $855. No US pricing or availability has been specified all though.
