Exterior & Design

On the outside, the new All-Terrain version remains similar to the regular C-Class Estate. Just to differentiate, this one comes with an improved ride hide, alloy wheels ranging from 17 to 19-inches and additional off-road lights.

Other updates in the form of a new front grille, underride guard, multi-section bumpers and chrome-plated sill guard further improve it for adverse conditions. Available with the AVANTGARDE package as standard, the all-new C-Class Estate All-Terrain features some polished aluminium highlights for roof railings and window surrounds.

Interior

Just like on the outside, the interior of the offroad oriented C-Class Estate comes with the AVANTGARDE package. Starting with the upholstery, it gets three options to choose from. Interestingly, the new C-Class brings you a high-resolution driver’s display and an option to choose between a 10.25-inch or a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system that gets you all the offroading details available in one touch.

Features & Electronic Aids

Mercedes-Benz is offering adaptive dampers on the new C-Class. Well, that means we can expect a good ride quality from this new car. It will be getting LED headlamps as standard but customers who want added convenience can opt for the Digital Light system. As soon as the driver switches on the offroad mode, this system enables the off-road lights up to a speed of 50kmph.

Another interesting part about the C-Class Estate All-Terrain is that it comes with a towing capacity of 1800 kilograms.

Engine & Powertrain

The exact details related to the powertrain should be out really soon. However, for now, expect it to come powered by 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines tuned slightly higher when compared to the standard C-Class. It even gets the brand’s 4MATIC all-wheel drive system for hardcore offroading. As claimed by Mercedes-Benz, the latest 4MATIC system propels around 45 per cent of power to the front axle while the remaining 55 per cent is reserved for the rear wheels with a 9-speed automatic gearbox available across all variants.

Interestingly, the introduction of two new drive modes named – Offroad and Offroad+ helps it to sustain even on the worst surface conditions. Other drive modes including Eco, Comfort, Sport and Individual also continues to serve the All-Terrain version of the C-Class Estate. Also, expect it to get EQ Boost mild-hybrid technology for enhanced performance and added fuel efficiency.

Launch In India

No false hope as Mercedes has no plans to introduce it in India. Interestingly, the German carmaker has not even introduced the E-Class Estate and E-Class Estate All-Terrain that are available globally for quite a long time.
