On the outside, the car looks slightly different from its IC sibling. For starters, it is now available with a solid black panel grille, redesigned bumpers and a fully stretched lighting setup. Apart from this, Mercedes will also offer alloy wheels ranging from 18 to 20-inches on the all-new EQB. Well, this is another masterstroke from the carmaker as it will allow the customers to choose the design and size of the alloy wheels according to their own tastes and preferences.

The German brand has not revealed the entire trim yet. However, a top-spec EQB 350 4Matic variant is expected to launch in specific markets soon. To be precise, it will be powered by two electric motors on either axel. Further, this entire setup combined is truly capable of producing a massive 292HP. Not to forget, it is available with a 66kWh lithium-ion battery that provides a range of 418kmph. In terms of performance, it can do a 0-100kmph sprint in just 6 seconds.

The carmaker might have confirmed that it will be coming up with a bigger battery for more range. However, for now, this 66kWh battery is able to juice up from 10-280% in just half an hour while using a 100kW DC charger. Also, it can be charged using a charger of up to 11kWh on an AC setup.

Inside the cabin, this SUV is expected to come with either a 5-seater or a 7-seater layout. However, in China, it will be available with a 7-seater layout only. Feature-wise, it packs ambient lighting, auto-dimming IRVM, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment display and another 10.25-inch screen reserved for a fully digital instrument cluster.

This SUV might not be coming to India anytime soon. But, globally, it is expected to compete against the likes of the Tesla Model X and the upcoming Audi Q4 E-Tron. For now, let us take a look at the latest offering from Audi, the all-new Q4 E-Tron.
