Volkswagen Tiguan
Design & Exterior
On the outside, the upcoming Tiguan will be featuring a slightly reprofiled front end. The headlights are new and of course, they are LED units. Other updates in the form of a new grille, wide air dam and twin L-shaped DRLs further enhance the sportiness. Interestingly, the 18-inch alloy wheels are also new and the rear end is entirely updated with a revised bumper, LED taillamps and a large ‘Tiguan’ badging.
Buyers who want more customisation can also expect a palette full of new exterior shades as well.
Interior
Hop inside the cabin and there you will be able to find a typical Volkswagen affair. With a minimalistic approach, the entire dashboard of the upcoming Tiguan feels modern. At the centre, there is an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that is now expected to come with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other features such as automatic climate control, wireless charger, large panoramic sunroof and connected car tech make it even feature-loaded.
Safety
For occupants safety, the 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan will be featuring six airbags, ABS, traction control and a rearview camera to name a few.
Engine
The powertrain of the upcoming Tiguan facelift will remain untouched. To be precise, the updated SUV will continue to feature a potent 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine what Volkswagen calls a TSI unit. The overall output from this motor is currently rated at 190HP and 320Nm while being paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Customers who want more reliability can also expect the brand’s all-wheel-drive technology available across the entire range.
Alternatives
In India, it will be competing against other SUVs such as Citroen C5 Aircross, Jeep Compass and Hyundai Tucson. Want to learn more about the new Compass? Check out all the details down below.

In terms of features, the 2021 Jeep Compass comes loaded with a wireless charger, panoramic sunroof, floating 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital instrument cluster to name a few.
