Updates

Enthusiasts already admire the MT-15 for its refinement and the best part about this bike is it shares most of its underpinnings with Yamaha R15 V3. Talking about the MotoGP Edition, it comes with a complete visual upgrade in the form of new black paint and sportier graphics.

Other than this, there are no changes on the bike. The twin-pod LED DRLs, projector headlamp, fully digital instrument console, side stand engine cut-off and naked design are similar to what we get on the standard variants.

Engine

At the heart, it still gets a 155cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is already known for its refinement on the R15 V3.0. The overall output from this motor is rated at 18.5PS @ 10,000ROM and 13.9Nm @ 8,500 RPM while being paired to a 6-speed gearbox. Interestingly, this entire setup also comes with a slip and assist clutch for smooth operations.

Hardware

Based on the Deltabox platform, Yamaha MT-15 sits on a telescopic fork at the front. Just like the R15 V3.0, even this one comes with a mono-shock unit at the back. Giving the rider enough confidence while braking is a 282mm disc (front) and 220mm disc at the back with a single-channel ABS available as standard.
